The purpose of this course is to instruct students on how to safely use a variety of construction tools and how to prevent injuries by properly selecting, using and maintaining tools.
Upon Completing this course, the students will be able to
Identify hand tools and hand held power tools and hazards associated with them.
Discuss how knowledge of hazards prevents the misuse of tools and related injuries.
Describe the general rules for a proper use of tools.
Describe the correct use of personal protective equipment.
Demonstrate knowledge in electrocution prevention in the worksite.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
100% attendance of this course is required to gain certification. Students must attend the full course and are expected on time as per Quantum Safety’s rules.
Quantum Safety expects that its students must be able to demonstrate that they have achieved the learning outcomes. Every student must pass a final exam before certification, and achieve at least a 65% passing grade—final exams can be attempted as many times as necessary by a student to gain certification.
LATENESS AND ABSENCES POLICY
Furthermore, 30 minutes will be considered the minimum allowance for lateness. Any student who is absent for any training day or who shows up 30 minutes after the scheduled starting time will be asked to schedule a make-up training day for the contact hours of the day.
